Revive FM is a community radio station nestled in the heart of Newham, dedicated to serving our diverse community. For over twenty years, our team has contributed to various community initiatives and now brings you this exciting venture. Since 2014, we’ve successfully broadcasted online during Ramadan, amassing millions of hits on Facebook and cultivating a substantial following.

Our mission is to foster community cohesion by connecting the diverse populations of Newham and its surrounding boroughs. In 2019, we proudly received our Ofcom license, enabling us to serve the local community through the COVID crisis, address pressing local issues, and amplify the voices of local people and initiatives.

In 2024, we were honored with a five-year extension to our license from Ofcom. We remain committed to diligently working for our residents and listeners, striving for a better Newham.

ReviveFM provides an alternative to mainstream media by bridging the gap between marginalised communities by providing local residents with the opportunity to take part in live discussions voicing their opinions and talk about issues that affect their lives. ReviveFM is a platform for the local community, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or culture to come together and share their experiences and thoughts through dialogue and discussion in a safe and productive environment.

We aim to provide an array of opportunities to local residents from media training courses to apprenticeship programs. Working in partnership with other organisations, we regularly hold workshops on serious issues affecting our community such as knife crime, gang culture and domestic violence. It is our aim to empower our community helping them integrate into society so that can contribute towards making positive change.

In 2014 we launched our first RSL radio Projects which ran through the month of Ramadan. The project was an overwhelming success attracting volunteers from a wide cross-section of society. With talk shows on an array of subjects ranging from domestic violence to child abuse and from gang culture to knife crime, we were successful in engaging the community to take part and share their views on these issues. Many local residents stepped up to the task of hosting their own shows and showcase their talent. Due to high demand, the radio became an annual feature of Ramadan broadcasting online from 2014 to 2018. In the summer of 2017 we were awarded a full-time radio license allowing us to broadcast on FM.
